I have a set of 68 442 exhaust manifolds for sale. The left side is # 389269 X & a 269 date code. The right side is # 398706 Y & a 334 date code. The right side manifold is 68 only and is very nice. The left side is 65-68 and looks to be in good condition with surface rust,no major pitting & should clean up good. The right side bolt holes are perfect and the two left side are broken off and will need removing. I think I have a NOS left side hot air valve repair kit still in the GM box. I want $400 +shipping for the pair and an extra $50 for the repair kit if I have it and a buyer wants it. The right side manifold is show quality and there are no visible cracks seen. It's odd how they used a different one year only manifold for the right on 68's Must be because they started using the heated air to the air cleaner.

 

Could be the added ribs were to prevent cracking but yes it does seem strange they changed the right side for 68 only.
