i just melt them out with a blow torch. if you know what you are doing with a torch you can melt them out and not even hurt the threads or pit the manifold. of course it is always better to try to remove them first.

There was a time I was pretty good with a torch, but Da*&...Only ever saw a guy be able to cut around threads without hurting them once...about 14 years ago.

Thats funny I got a tourch and in my ad says, if you want the studs removed I will do it for 15 dollars,. I dont have a problem taking them out. Must be you dont get out much anymore.
