Exactly what are these used for on a 442?

These are replacement cross shafts for front upper control arms.They possibly fit more years but Im not sure? They are the same size as my originals for a 70 A body. I found restored originals for the restoration. Originals that I have are threaded on the end with a big nut and washer rather than these that have a bolt and washer. Im not sure of application but some cars have this design and most replacements also. They have bushings on the ends and shims for alignment if that helps.
