'48 Olds Engine, Driveline & Chassis Parts

I'm deep into a resto-mod project and have a pile of stuff to sell as the garage is running out of space.

The items are: a '48 6-cyl engine which is complete from bellhousing to fan, includes the starter and generator, battery and voltage regulator, the 3-speed manual transmission (shifts well), front and rear brake assemblies w/good shoes and rebuilt cylinders, the entire brake pedal/master cylinder assembly & clutch pedal assembly/linkage. The radiator is also included as are the motor mounts and crossmember. The rear shocks are also included.

Also included is a box of stuff that was in the trunk that has carburetor stuff and clutch stuff and many other items that I haven't inventoried.

The original rims and hubcaps with Firestone 6.70-15 wide whitewalls (2 really good and two worn) are included. I believe the tires to be Coker/Firestone as the casings are in really good shape.

The car was running/driving when I got it and all the electrical items functioned, but the engine had a miss that I attribute to a blown head gasket since the miss was on two adjacent cylinders. It always started started good and had good oil pressure but was down on power due to the skip.A new head gasket is included.

The differential (a 4.30:1) also is included but has very bad pinion bearings that have likely caused ring gear wear issues.

I'll have photos available by the end of this week.

I'm in Central Kentucky just off I-64 and about 25 miles from I-75.

The entire lot will be ready for pickup by the end of the month and the price is $375.00. No parting out, I don't wish to break it up.

Size-wise, this stuff will all fit in a long-wheelbase pickup. I have an engine hoist to help with the loading.
