1973 q-jet

good afternoon olds people . finally back over from v8buick again . had a chevy q-jet on my motor , picked up this decent lookin front feed carb to use ( #7043256 - '73 federal olds auto ) , thought it would look a little closer and the fuel line situation would be alot better . sold the chevy version on e-bay . but now i have come across a buick q-jet to use and we've got a couple good q-jet guys to rebuild em . one pretty close to me . was gonna quickee check out/rebuild this olds q-jet and e-bay it but thought maybe one of you guys ( or ladies ) could use it . so here it is - $100.00 plus shipping ( trades , offers ? ) . if no sale i'll just e-bay or whatever maybe feb 24 or mar 3 . looked pretty good , hit it with a little carb spray and took some pics . thats all i know . i can set ya up with rebuilding this if needed probably - would just have to check with ken and get a time frame and price range . contact me if ya need any info or a shipping estimate . thanks for the look . del
e-mail me @ deadmanscurve@stny.rr.com in case i fall asleep on this , been busy .
price adjustment > $75.00 +

its still priced too high when the base plate will need repair or changed due to the accerator pedal cable attachment stud is missing. Makes me personally wonder what else could be wrong with her, especially if I were to have to go through it.

sorry - have not checked back in a few days - busy . john , thanks . will check that out . got a pic ? if thats the case what would you say a close $$ amount would be ? del
### edit : pics . #1 - similar buick carb left , the olds carb right . #2 olds linkage arm . #3 buick linkage arm w/fitting . is this the problem area in question ? saw that - really was not too worried about it . find a bolt in style fitting/bushing that matches your throttle cable/linkage style that fits well and looks ok , hook it up , run it .

The Olds one needs what the Buick one has for the throttle cable. I just found a handful of mid 70's core carbs for $25 each so I'm going to pass on this one for now. I'd rather take my chances with virgin cores than one I know someone has been messing around in.

Thanks anyway

John

not really sure how much "messin around" was done with this carb - feels more like a standard rebuild to me - no epoxy . one on my e-bay list now at $25.00 . not too healthy lookin but i did notice it looked like that part you were talkin about was in place . del
