Doug - Nearly certain it is indeed. I'll need to double-check as I'm not an expert on date coding of alternators but there's a couple threads regarding dating. We shall see...
It appears it is not the original number (as identified in the Oldsmobile Parts Catalog Book). I cannot (as yet) speak to whether the Part # on the Alternator I have listed falls w/in the same time frame or it does not (w/o further research on my own).
Doug - Here's a good thread. I'm not 100% correct regarding whether it is or it is not the original simply because - I don't know. I'm not always convinced by Parts Books, as well. Many various Parts Books with various numbers and I'm NOT the guy to make accurate decisions on these alternators. It depends on what options your 442 has. 1100569 is a 1971 part number and DN is what my car's build sheet calls for -- with air conditioning without rear defroster. June 30, 1971 is just too late for my first week of May-assembled car.
