Need help with paint code on 1967 Cutlass!

Hello all Oldsmobile enthusiasts.I am in need of help.A friend here in Rio de Janeiro just bought a ´67 Cutlass in excellent shape with only 2 previous owners.Its gold with blak interior,330,automatic,console,buckets,2 door no AC.We need to find out the correct paint formula and the mixers down here have no clue.Can someone help? This is the tag:

12C 67.33817FRA3546 Body 970-B E2X GR 4F 5P

Maybe an export model or a domestic car brought over back then.

Thanks

Paulo

Paulo, I had forgotten about a site that is specifically for the 1967 Cutlass/442. Check it out and if you don't find the answer there please post here again. John

http://www.oldsmobility.com/

Maybe this page: http://www.oldsmobility.com/old/cowltag.htm

Thanks for writting.Amazingly the B letter on my tag is not listed as a collor! But I imagine its either the Gold or the Champagne.But it was indeed the oem paint.I will keep on researching.

Paulo, could you post a picture of the trim tag? Maybe someone will find a clue that will help identify the factory color. I know you posted the codes, but the location on the tag may help key things out. John

I took a good look at the tag and its indeed a code G-G meaning gold color.I called PPG Brasil and to my amazement they can not locate the formula!!!! They say it does not exist... The information I have is 22818 gold poly.The paint shop wants to kick the car out! Its in primer.I begged for a few more days.Please help with the formula!!!!!!!!!!

Paulo, I changed the title of your thread and moved it to the paint section. Hopefully someone who really knows paint codes or a 1967 guru will see your post and be able to help! John

22818 is the PPG code for the paint?
The GM code is WA3667.
Carpaintonline has it if you want to order it.
This has the PPG/Ditzler, Dupont and Sherwin Willams codes for Gold Mist Metallic.

http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcod...model=Chevelle

My paint guy uses Spies Hecker and he had them color match it using their color matching device on the original door jambs before they were prepped and they mixed it up. The paint rep dude was very proud of it.
The color and metallic is almost exactly the same as original, I have a factory color plate compliments of a member here.

12C 67.33817FRA3546 Body 970-B E2X GR 4F 5P

12C = built December 1966, third week
33817 = Cutlass hardtop model
FRA = built at Framingham, Massachusetts plant
970-B = interior color and type
E = tinted glass (all; option A01)
2 = group 2 options; X = floor mounted automatic transmission shifter
G = console (D55); R = rear shelf speaker (option U80)
4F = group 4, F = remote mirror (?)
5P (?)

my list had the F in Group 5, which could be an error; I don't have P on my list. This list did not come directly from Olds so may or may not be completely accurate.

I not a guru on '67's or paint. I have a scan of the '67 PPG card.

This agress with you. According to this site....

http://corvetteattitude.com/cgi-bin/...page=4&rows=50

.... G - 1967 Oldsmobile Gold Poly is :

GM code WA3667
PPG code 22818
Dupont code 4825L or 4825D
ShermanWilliams code 910

Maybe one of these code you supplier can source.

Does your car's paint seem similar to this....
