Red orange yellow 442 emblem colors

71 - 72 442 grill emblems - at a few car shows I’ve seen people painting these numbers the red / orange / yellow colors of the 60’s 442s - anyone have a bead on the correct colors for these three colors?

These colors used in 71 - 72 grill emblems

Well, for starters, the original colors were Red, Dark Orange, and Light Orange. The red-orange-yellow emblems you see today are not correct.

Hello I restored my 65’ emblems using these three paints from hobby lobby
Italian red #28109
Grabber orange #28108
Go Mango #28106
all were in small spray cans where the model cars etc. are located

For the record:

28109 is Italian Red
28108 is Hugger Orange
28106 is Go Mango Ford and also Vitamin C Chrysler
28105 is Grabber Orange

Joe, Thanks for correcting my error, Hugger orange is correct as is Italian red,
i used go mango only because they didn’t have the grabber orange. Close enough and
still looks great.

Thanks Joe! I’m in no position to argue paint colors since I just painted a bunch of parts pink trying for red lol! I think the three colors on the emblem look great and plan on doing that to mine as well

I just bought a 65 Convertible 442 and am starting to do some updates and upgrades with my son. I tried buying the colors shown above for the emblems but found out that Testor's has now been discontinued so those paints are pretty much unavailable. Has anyone found suitable replacements? Color Rite makes a Hugger Orange and Italian Red but I couldn't find a Grabber Orange. Thanks for any thoughts...

Hi Joe, I added to the thread below looking for some updates for emblem paints. From what I can find, Testers has been discontinued. Trying to find a color similar to the light orange around the 2. Thanks for any help.
