I have a 1967 442 I'm restoring to original and am having trouble determining if the emblems color scheme should be red/light red/orange OR red/orange/yellow ?? I'm pretty sure it is red/orange/yellow, but I'm seeing a lot of conflicting products out there. Help! Thanks.

 

There are repros on Ebay, check out the pictures or buy one and go from there to paint yours.

Fusick's emblems are the correct colors.

 

So why are there, or what appears to be, two different colors for the same year car (1967 442).
It appears that my car has faded the Red-Orange-Yellow combination for the 442 emblems but it seems like most of the reproduction emblems are Red-Red/Orange-Orange.
I've seen both combinations on other 442's as well. Does anyone know why some are yellow and some orange?
It also appears that most of the reproduction/restoration emblems have the Red-Red/Orange-Orange emblems.
Were there two different color combinations from the factories possibly based on when and or where they were built in 1966/1967?
Anybody have any information that may shed some light on this mystery?

 

The original cars, NOS emblems, and Fusick emblems I have seen over the decades all had dark red/dark orange/light orange.
