1969 cutlass supreme color

I am trying to find out what the color is for the lower portion (silver color) that goes all the way around the car. Also if i get the black stripes painted on the hood, what color would that be. I have confidence in my body man but want to be sure the color is correct.

Not sure on the lower silver, might be in the assy manual. Hood stripes were not available on the Supreme, but I guess you're putting them on regardless, so go to Autocolor Library and pull up the paint sheet for '69 and use that black.

As Los Bravos sung; "Black is Black". Unfortunately, codes for trim colors on the old paint cards need to be "translated" for obsolete codes from R-M or Dupont. I went through hell with 1973 Hurst gold. I got the code from the assy manual, but nobody could get the formula. Plus, the absence of lead can make a difference as well. I finally just chose a shade from a modern number I personally liked.

A couple updates pics. I just let the painter make the decision on it. Just a driver anyway. Don't mind the messy garage

I also had difficulty getting the Sandalwood color for my 71 98. Good to hear that you made a decision. Let us know how it turns out.
