W-30 stencil quality

Planning on going to paint soon. Is there a stencil mfg. for the 70 W-30 stripes that is top quality. Don't want to do this twice. Any input appreciated. Thanks

Stencil Quality

I had gotten mine from O.P.G. and wasn't happy with them. Some of the stencil pieces were not the correct length. My body/ paint guy and I ended up hand laying them off of the pictures and measurement that I had taken before the repaint.

I forgot where I got the kit from but since I had an original paint car to refrence and pictures from other original paint cars I had the painter tweak them. The biggest difference for me were the curves over the wheel wells and how the stripe ended at the front of the fender and the back of the quarter panel. I have lots of photos of stripes if you want samples.

Stevengerard, If you wouldn't mind sending me some pictures showing the proper stripes it would be greatly appreciated.

Any measurements would also be helpful.

I have a 70 Cutlass Convertible that will be painted next month. I'm wanting to have the w30 stripes on the sides as well as the hood stripes for the hood with the scoops.

Haven't been able to find a good picture of where the hood stripes stop at the rear of the hood scoops so if you have any of those it would be great.

thanks,

Pat

Steven, would you be able to post some of the photos you have ?? I need to paint my stripes too and this would be really helpful. Also if you have any dimensions from the wheel arch mould to the bottom of the stripe would be fantastic, along with the actual width of the stripe over the arch. Thanks. Cheers Rohan

I sourced my stripe information from the factory blueprints found on the wildaboutcars.com site. I had the prints blown up printed and laminated. If you or your painter have the time and ability, you can create the correct stripes, gaps, radius’ using these prints.
