Paint shops in DFW for driver quality paint

I am to the point that I want to get my 68 Cutlass S convertible repainted, but I am looking for a driver quality paint job, nothing close to show quality.

Anyone have any shop recommendations?

Look in the NTOC newsletter The Rocket. There are several places listed.

FWIW, I used Ward's Body Shop in Krum. It's a haul to get out there, but a really great group of guys - 3 dudes that have been working there for a number of years. Primarily collision to pay the bills but they keep a healthy side business of classic car work. Driving an extra 30 minutes saved me ~$12,000 for the total body work and paint.

Thanks! I will look into it. Since labor costs are 90% of the total cost of a paint job, getting out of the immediate metro area where rent and labor are both more expensive can probably make a big difference. I talked to Keith Hickman in Gunter yesterday, and he seemed like a stand up guy. I might get a quote from him and Ward's, too.

J&S in Frisco said that they would not even consider doing the work if it was going to cost less than $10K since it would not be worth their time.

I just bought a 75 Hurst Olds last week. It has incredible black paint. It was painted by Heritage Collision in Sherman. It was painted in 2015 for a price of $4,000 which I think was reasonable for the time. The paint still looks great.

Thanks, Glenn! I will check them out, too. Pretty easy drive from Allen.
