I know this may be a long shot but need some help identifying the color of my car. I’m guessing it was resprayed in the last 10-15 years. It is NOT the original color as the code is much darker and , is visible under the deck lid. I’ve tried numerous samples in the area of gold metallic with no positive result. I subsequently had a paint shop chip catalog match it to a jaguar color and had it mixed but it’s still darker than the car. The main reason is a chip on the rear quarter that I’ve smoothed and primed about the length of a matchstick and a little wider. Not much but still ,would like to match as best as I can. Pictures will be close but I know it is a lot to ask without seeing in person. Thanks for any help.

Take it to a body shop that has a camera that takes pictures of the paint on the car. It will tell you the formula and best match possible. Should get you very close to what's on it.
