In the "Welcome to Classic Oldsmobile Forum" Banner on the site. There's a 1977-79 Delta 88 or 98 thats an orange/brownish color. Does anyone know if thats the original color and if so what code it is?

Most likely 1977 color code 78 Mandarin Orange Poly.

I'm not seeing that car on the banner. (are you referring to the banner that flips through 3 screens of cars and Olds emblems?) You can always send Paul (Omicron) a PM asking whose car was selected and then send the owner a PM to find out.

I didn't see it either. Just guessing based on the description and going from memory of those cars way back when.

All the cars in the banner are member's cars. Best thing you can do is find a good example of the color you're interested in, post a good pic of it here, and hope some member recognizes it. Most likely someone will.

Not sure how to make the picture any larger but it's the Delta 88 at the very top.

I believe that's called "burnt orange." Google it and see if that isn't what you're after.

I still don't see any 77-79 Delta on the banner anywhere...there is a 69/70 with white top, and plenty of older styles.

Allan, he is mixing the banner up with advertising...I used to see the pics he posted all the time, just haven't seen it in quite a while.

Ok, that would explain that. I use adblocker software on my puter so I don't see any of that stuff. Thanks Erik!
