Paint Code 60-60-31 on 57 Olds 88 4dr Sedan

Does anybody know what these paint codes mean?

60-60-31

We know the 60-60 means Alcan White / Alcan White but the 31 must be for the interior color? Some light green?

This is on a 1957 Olds 88 4 dr sedan.

Your help is appreciated.

Happy Independence Day!!!

TCP Global auto color library has the original paint chip sheets online.

http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorli...obile-pg01.jpg

60- Alcan White
60- Alcan White
31- Allegheny Green

According to the sheet the three color code is a three tone meaning upper and lower body color and an accent color.

How does that code map out on the car? The code on my 57 (88-4dr-hardtop) is 60-60-20, Alcan White and Festival Red.

The car is, white hood and front fenders as well as the lower part of the rear quarters. The red is on the roof, trunk, and upper parts of the rear quarters above the chrome trim.

I thought the "accent" would have been the color stripe between the trim on the rear doors to the tail, splitting the upper and lower portions of the rear quarters.

Thanks,
Nozmo

We would like to know how this maps out as well.

Our car is White everywhere except the accent stripe between the chrome. Now the stripe is painted black but there is evidence in the door jambs that it was green at some point. While we love the car in all white with all that chrome it would be nice to know what it looked like when all original.

This car was owned by an auto body guy in Apple Valley MN, he supposedly painted it about 14 years ago.

If the accent color is the stripe between the chrome trim, then my car should be all white and the stripe should be red, correct?
