Interior paints
Does anyone out there know where I can get the correct paint and gloss levels for my 70 442? The Dupont and R-M #s seem to be coming back discontinued. I live in mass and evidently laquer paints have been phased out and "close enough" is what I'm being told is available. If anybody has any sources for the correct stuff I'd appreciate it. Thanks...Tony...

SEM
Could have just been the local dealer but for my 442 ,the red they mixed didn't even 1/2 ways cover my interior items, even with 5 coats. They told me SEM headquarters told them..."the reds sometimes do that"!!! Sherwin-Williams made it up with excellent match and coverage and $11.00 less per quartDerek

DuPont Vinyl!
Any autobody supply that sells Dupont products should have a book called the SPECTRAMASTER! If you have a sample of the color you are looking to do (seatcover or kickpanel or doorpanel), they can look with you through the book and match it up to your color. They can mix it ready to spray in three different gloss levels in DuPont Vinyl....key is preparation! Check out my thread in Major Builds '70 Vista Cruiser Project! I did all interior pieces including metal in this and it was a perfect match and gloss! Make sure you get tech sheets or call the Dupont tech line for help!

I talked to a guy named jimmy (chips) at TPCglobal.com and he has every paint I'm looking for in laquer or enamel. If you can pay the money for it it's available in ppg or for 1/3 the money their in house line. I'm going to try the in house brand and will comment after trying it out.
