Hood strips
No I mean the rally strips on the trunk lid. I am aware of the small strip that goes alone the bottom of the trunk lid under the key whole. But I have seen some car on various website and ebay etc. done with high quality restoration with rally strips on the ram air hood and continue down the trunk lid. Mine is in the body shop and I told the painter no strips down the trunk only on the ram air hood and I was wondering was I doing the right thing.

Don't worry....you're on the right track. The only striping on the trunklid is the pinstriping along the back edge just above the stainless trim that runs across it.
Lots of people added the Chevelle SS-type trunklid striping (what you referred to as rallye stripes) that you mention but Olds never used anything like that on the Cutlass/442 EXCEPT on the '70 Pace cars and some Hurst Olds models.
Also realize that the hood stripes on a ram air hood only cover the tops of each scoop...they don't run all the way back to the rear edge like the stripes on a Chevelle SS or a Z-28.
