Hood Stripe Measurements
Hello,
my car is currently being painted and my painter asked me for the measurements of how far the OAI hood stripes are from the sides and front of the scoop. Does anyone have those measurements? I’ve attached a picture highlighting the areas I’m referring to. Thank you!

Travis those measurements can be found in the PIM. If you don't have that resource, please refer to this link, post #8.

Travis the truth is all stripes are unique. You didn't say if your painter is using stencils or free hand and tape to do your graphics. If you use the stencils there still is a certain amount of override needed on the stencils as none are perfect.
My W30 arrived with original stripes and you can take a tape to them and you will find few consistent measurements on the car. There are people that say the side stripes must follow the lower contour of the body with no deviation, and with no uplift at the terminus points. As a whole, that is simply not reality when it comes to factory stripes. I also have measured show cars and those stripes contain inconsistencies as well. Granted if you fall out of bounds with the stripes they can come back to haunt you as there certainly are many bad examples to be found.
I’d venture to say if you use the PIM and pictures from cars with good examples you will be well on your way to a successful outcome with your graphics.

Hey! I've been in your shoes before, and getting precise measurements for car detailing is crucial. When I needed accurate measurements, I found using an online ruler like https://ruler.onl/ super convenient. It ensures you get it spot on every time. Also, don't hesitate to double-check with your painter to ensure everything is perfect. Good luck!
