Airbrush for touch up project
Airbrush for touch up project
I do quite a bit of touch up on my rigs from time to time and not being a artiest I never thought of using a airbrush. The other day had a 8 inch scratch/ abrasion on a painted bumper that made the whole *** end of the car ugly. Too large of a defect to use a touch up brush on or I could have masked the whole area off and used my regular gun but I thought of the airbrushes I have stored for probably 20 years and gave them a try. One didn't work, probably old age and dried seals but the other worked fine with some plumbing changes and a regulator at the gun. I'll probably use this tool for any repair smaller than a foot in area. Kinda like a rattle can that you can control and not much overspray cleans up in 2 minutes. Try it it may be the tool for you.
Don't do like I did though and jump in with both feet without trying it out on something unimportant. It came out fine but there is a lot of mistakes that can be removed with sandpaper, a buffer and polishing compound.....Tedd
