1971 Cutlass Tail Light Skirt Paint ?

Anyone know the (exact preferably) spray paint color for the 1971 (probably multiple years) rear tail light lens surrounds/skirts/bezels or whatever they're called? I'd like to purchase a spray can. It doesn't need to be the exact GM Oldsmobile paint Part Number, but a manufacturer who sells the same color and finish which matches these surrounds/skirts/bezels.

Thanks for looking...

I've used Krylon 1403 dull aluminum. Seems a lot of guys have as well.

I haven't tried to buy it recently, hope its still available.

Norm, I used Eastwood's 2K spray gray paint because I wanted a durable finish. Here is a link to the paint. The color was very close to the OEM. Masking these bezels off on my 72 was tedious to say the least.

I used the Krylon dull aluminum on my 70 tail light lens about 10 + years ago. They still look good.

I ordered a can of Krylon 1403 Dull Aluminum from Amazon.
Rick, Eastwood looks good - a tad on the pricey side.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Same here, I used Krylon Dull Aluminum on the tail lights and the grille back in 1998 or thereabout. Still looks good today.

was correct. I sprayed two coats of Minwax Polycrylic Clear Matte to finish/seal. Thanks for the replies.

The Krylon 1403 seems to be hard to come by especially for us Canadians. Has anyone tried either of the following:

https://www.acehardware.com/departme...urpose/1917327

Or the Rust-Oleum 248904 Automotive High Heat Spray Paint,Flat Aluminum?

I just used the krylon dull aluminum. Not the 1403. Might be the replacement for the 1403. I couldn't find the 1403 either. I thought it looked fine.

I may be missing something. But the product I used is Krylon 1403 as I originally provided a link. NOTE: The product label on the can states "1403".

How 'bout a glamour shot? I will need to dress up a lot of things on my Hooptie and it would be nice to see the before and after to help motivate...

I searched the web for “Krylon 1403” and apparently all the regular retail sites show out of stock. The Krylon web site shows it in their paint listing but doesn’t say anything about availability. I wonder what’s up?

Just looked at my can it is 1403 dull aluminum. I got it off of Walmart.com. They just sell it as dull aluminum they do not put the 1403 in the title. I got some last month.

reviving my old thread, still on the hunt for the appropriate color. Seems like Krylon 1403 remains out of stock indefinitely. Touching up taillight skirts remains on my to do list....

I believe I still have my original can of Krylon 1403 Dull Aluminum. I'll go check the can. I believe there is an actual Part# located on the can. I did find some though...hard to believe.
