Can someone tell me when thia stripe came out?was it a factory thing and what models came with it thanka

 

1968 fender stripe.Over used and abused many times!

It's in almost the right location to be a 1968 W36 stripe. But the dimensions are all wrong. The one in my signature, below, is closer to OEM/Stock, but the "dark" strips on either side are too narrow, as are those in your pic.

 

At least the 68 only W36 is in the approximate correct location ...on a 69...be it the wrong dimensions. Never a fan of the in the weeds n hoops look. And ditch the W35! Super straight paint!

 

Pretty tough looking '69 restomod, I don't think the stripe location much matters on this bad boy.
