How to remove the bulb from a lighted 1972 Cutlass rear view mirror. What is the part number and where to but the correct bulb.

Remove the clear plastic piece in the center. You can then gently pinch the forward and aft sides where the clear plastic piece was to remove the switch and bulb piece. Be gentle because the plastic gets brittle with age and heat from the bulb. Once out you can remove and replace the bulb. I’d recommend cleaning the switch contacts with scotch brite and WD-40 before reassembly. I believe the light bulb is #563.

 

The lens needs to be removed first, then remove the rest of the switch / bulb holder assembly.
