Few thoughts and help

1st Powder coat or not powder coat.
. Thinking of powder coating my performer intake to match the engine, and the tops of my alunimun valve covers.

looking for thoughts

2nd. Serpentin belt set up not aftermarket but other gm set ups, found a gbody site that listed some junk yard parts to make it happen

I'm not sure I would powdercoat an intake. To cure the powder takes a high temp, lot higher than an engine gets and the possibility of the intake warping from the heat is an unknown.

Powdercoat on the intake will melt and burn over the exhaust crossover.

Why do you want to screw around with a serpentine setup? Unless you use a true reverse rotation water pump (either from an Olds V6 diesel or adapted from a Chebby), the psuedo-serp setups require a boatload of idler pulleys to force the belt into contact with the driven pulleys. There's a lot of work and no benefit.

Serpentine setups are extremely sexy to the non-engineer. Newer must be better.
