The nut on the bottom side just spins so how do I fix it ? I was thinking to drill a hole and put a screw in so the nut does not turn. I'm not taking the hood off as its just me doing it. Any quick fix other than mine. HELP !!!

 

I've been known to weld the nut in place centered in the hinge slot.

drill a small hole in the sheet metal against the side of the nut,2 sides if possible.should work as long as the threads are good so it doesn't bind

Right now the bolt is stuck in the nut so I'll try that. It just keeps spinning.

 

I replaced the hinge on the driver side as it was not working good. Now I started the motor up and it is missing then I found a Vac. leak and fixed it. Work next on the pass side hinge.

 

Drilled a hole into the hinge and hood and put a sheet metal bolt in and is holding good. fixed the miss it was the float level. now to get the brakes going on bleeding.
