1963 Starfire shifter button issue

1963 Starfire shifter button issue

I am having problems with the button not pushing down enough to allow the shifter to go into or out of park and or reverse, does anyone know of any ideas /solutions to correct this has worked great until this weekend.

I had that problem, a little wd-40 and tightening the set screw on the handle fixed it.
