PCV Setup 64 Starfire

Would someone confirm that on a '64 Starfire, that the tube on the snorkel to the PCV is aluminum and not rubber?
Pretty sure that it is, if so, trying to source it.

Thanks
Jeff

Every 63 or 64 I have seen that has a four barrel has a rubber tube .
Yes , it is hard to find a good one . And I don't think anyone is re-producing them .
Two barrel jobs had a metal tube but were completely different . Will not fit .

My 64 has a metal tube. Not sure if steel or aluminum, I can check tonight.

That's a beautiful engine bay!
Thanks for the reply, I agree that it should be metal and not rubber from the various photos that I've seen.
Now the hard part, trying to find one.

64 is steel tube and is different between 2-barrel and 4-barrel engines. You need rubber grommet in the aircleaner snout, and a piece of rubber hose on PCV flapper end. That end also uses a spring-wing clamp to retain the tube to the hose.

My green 64 SF has an aftermarket A/C unit and has a piece of ugly-*** rubber hose in thePCV, as the aircleaner had to be rotated about 45 degrees to clear the compressor. I really want all that mess gone, but since one of the water pump/timing cover bolts is seized in the block, and natcherly that bolt holds the compressor support bracket on, that is not something I want to tackle right now

I guess I need to check the forum more oftener, as RocketRaider beat me to the punch by weeks. But yes, the tube on '64s is steel. Mine (Starfire, so 4V) was missing when I bought my car, but I was fortunate to find a pristine one from a '64 98 at the junk yard, then got the right part # PCV on eBay.
Not to hijack the thread, but while we're generally on the topic of air cleaners & Starfires, I've noticed that the repro AL air cleaner "top plate" that Fusick sells for '64 Starfires (actually, they say '61 - '64, and that might be the problem) is missing the "Use Premium Fuel" warning. Just a tid-bit of info for those of us looking for 100% authenticity -- even if perhaps not 100% originality.
Good luck....
