bellhouse f85
The 215 uses a unique bellhousing bolt pattern, so only the 215 bellhousing works. The Rover bellhousings bolt to the block but won't accept the four speed. Fortunately, D&D Fabrications sells new repro bellhousings for the 215.

I would suggest that you do a web search on the T5. Be sure you verify the tag number of the trans. There are a lot of variations out there, so be sure you know what trans you are getting. The 4 and 6 cylinder T5s have a VERY low first gear; with even 3.36 rears it's only good to the other side of the intersection. The late 1980s F-body T5s are world-class (thus stronger) and have a 2.95:1 first gear in the V8 versions. These bolt to the Muncie bellhousing pattern. Starting in about 1994, GM went to the Ford pattern T5 case, which requires an adapter that is sold by D&D.
