62 olds idle stop solenoid tube and vac lines

Hey everone. Still chugging away on the car this week. By the time it is "running" again I will have all new fuel lines to go with the rebuilt fuel pump. While I was checking things out, I tugged on the vac line going into the idle stop solenoid and it came out... The previous owner just kind of shoved the vac tube in there. I am trying to find the metal tube that screws into the idle stop solenoid that the vac tube goes into. I checked at inlinetube.com but I didn't see one listed. I am not sure on the diameter or anything. I just need the car to sort of run correctly so I can put gas in it. I don't trust it to drive it ver far yet due to a very leaky carb.

I think the vac lines are set up "correctly" besides that. I wish the shop manuals went into better detail like the later versions. Any help would be great.

On my car some of the fittings were pipe thread, like 1/8", where others where standard bolt thread like 3/8 24. Upon determining that you should be able to pick up a fuel line fitting with a hose barb or something similar that you can thread into that. You can buy them at any auto parts store.

Ok thats good to know. I can just take my idle stop in and see if they can fit something. Most of the time I go in there and ask for "old car stuff" they look at me like I am an alien
