1963 f85 steering wheel

Mine is usable, but in need of restoration. I've read up on how to repair cracks, and it seems doable. But, they are hard to replace, as I have been watching ebay for over a year and not seeing any. I like the original wheel, I even like the slow steering. That being said, I'm a little nervous about doing the repairs without a backup. I've seen a few 1964 wheels, and allowing that the horn bar is different in style, they seem similar. Can anyone confirm that the wheel itself is the same?

This steering wheel needs restored also but it is from a 63. I would let it go for $55 and whatever shipping is if it would help. Horn bar, buttons and cap included.

Well, that sounds good to me. Let me know how much the shipping will be, and how and where you want to be paid and I'll get the money to you. Thanks. Tony.

I will pull it and see if I have a box here it will fit in. What is the zip code? You can put it in a PM if you want to.

That was easier than I expected, Paypal money on the way. They said that you may have to pay a fee as a seller, if so, let me know how much and I'll mail it to you. Thanks for the steering wheel, it will be good to have the spare to work on.

Got it. Don't worry about the fee. The fee is why I wanted $55 instead of $50. I have been adding $5 to most of the parts I sell to cover Pay Pal fees and any potential errors in shipping charges. The shipping charges have been going up and I have quoted to low on them occasionally. I'm good where we are. I will have it shipped out on Monday after work.

steering wheel restored

Finally got the steering wheel restored, used the PC-? 2 part epoxy to fill the cracks after grinding out. It came out pretty good, and I installed it yesterday and took the car out for a drive. As a side note, I also got my steering gear rebuilt and installed, no more leaks!

I still need to figure out how to post pictures. I'll work on that later today.
