Useful Idea for somebody Maybe?

Needed to siphon the gas out of my cutlass. I made a tank siphon from a kerosene siphon a piece of 3/4 plastic tubing that slides up and makes the siphon pick-up longer total cost for me $4.68. Got it all at a local hardware store. Hope someone else will find useful.

Thanks for the info. If you have a pic can you post it. I will need a siphon to change the transmission fluid in my automatic transaxle in my VW Beetle.

If you have access to compressed air the easiest way to siphon anything is get a small hose 5/16 or 3/8 works perfect.Put the hose down in whatever you want to suck out. Make sure the end of the hose outlet is below the level of the fluid and blow air across the outlet of the hose. It will start the fluid just like you sucked it out with a pump.

That's a good one.

blow air across the outlet of the hose
Our friends shouldn't forget that it is a bad idea to blow air across the outlet of the hose with your mouth. This would cause gasoline, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, etc. to come pouring out all over their face. Please use the compressed air to blow air across the outlet.
