Replacing heater core in F66 F85

Looks like we need to do this on Josh's '66 F85 - are there any tricks to it? This is a non-AC car. Looks like the housing might come off on both the engine side and the interior side? Any hidden bolts or screws?

Thanks,
Jim

You will unfortunately need to remove the passenger side fender to get to the bottom outboard nut. The core is in the box under the dash, but you need to remove the nuts and screws from the engine side of the firewall.

You should be able to get away with removing just the inner fender for access. Taking off the rf tire helps. I don't remember details as my 66s don't have heaters.

The problem is that the 66 inner fenders are metal, not plastic. I'm not sure they bend as easily as the later ones.
