Before I put the wheel tubs back in the car, how can I restore to like new? they have some old primer overspray on them and 40+ years of dirt. Is there a good cleaner? Should I paint them flat black? Any tips will be appreciated!

 

Oven cleaner works wonders on plastic and rubber. Made mine look like new...
One can will barely do two wheel wells.
Spray on, wait 10 minutes, scrub with brush, spray off with hose. Repeat as needed.
Wear rubber gloves and avoid breathing the fumes!
It will remove paint, so keep off of paint you wish to keep!!
