69 Cutlass, when I turn the key, no gen light. When I start the car gen light comes on and stays on. I have 14.5v at the battery, and on the Alternator. I also have the sunpro triple gauges, and there is 14+ volts on it.

 

Actually when I turn the key to the first position the light is on, but very dim.

 

Start by checking for a blown GAUGES/TRANS fuse.

Thanks Joe, you’re the man. I guess I figured the gauges were working ( most things anyway) so I overlooked the fuse.
