Fuel venting

Question about fuel tank venting gas. Have owned four 67 442s and never ran across this problem. Last year year replaced leaking gas tank with same Taiwan tank. Has the correct vent tubes in the upper left hand facing rear of tank. Using only one feed line to pump,as this is how car came and had no troubles. Now when I accelerate even EZ gas will vent out the two hoses. This can happen with any level of gas. One hose has the foam insert and the gas cap is stock non vented. This was the same set up as with old tank. I know they,GM,had a fix for this that sends the fuel back thru the smaller hose while venting the air. No repop for this is out there but one for 68-70 is made. Can this be used on a 67?Has anyone run across this problem? Is it time to rip out this tank and buy the Canadian one?people are kind enough to tell me I'm leaking gas. I don't want to burn up!Thanks all.

A 67 442 should have a fuel pump return line, while the Cutlass of the same year does not. I think you're not throwing gas due to engine fuel demands, it seems that you are rolling the gas volume to the back of the tank and up and out. Perhaps there is something different on the Taiwan tank that is missing. I am missing the gas cap on my 442 of the same year, but I was under the impression they were vented.

I am going to presume you could cap both hoses and run a vented cap.

Irregardless of fuel return line, 67's were a non vented cap with the tank having 2 rubber tubes going to a plastic vent stuffed with fiber material that clamped behind the rear bumper. This setup can be had at any of the resto suppliers, ebay, etc..
