Door Lock Pillar Weatherstrip

Hey can anybody point out to me where these parts are supposed to be on the car (olds 98 1972) Can't seem to find them on mine, if they are even there to begin with.. all my rubbers are trash.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-...item1e5d1924f1

I've also been looking for decent internet sites that sell weatherstrips. So far i've found ww.steelerubber.com anyone knows some more ?

thnx in advance,
Clint

I think this kind of weatherstrip was only on hardtops and convertibles. They didn't make a 98 convertible that year, though. Do you have a hardtop?

I think you're still not getting it right. "Hardtop" doesn't just mean it's not a convertible, although that was the origin of the term. A "hardtop" means a non-convertible with no center pillar between the front and rear side windows. So it kinds of looks like a convertible from a distance, but it's not. There were both two-door and four-door hardtops.

I've done a little research, and, actually, all '72 98's were hardtops, two or four-door. So you DO have a hardtop, and the rubber pieces shown in that ebay auction are probably just what you need.
