Chrome company suggestions

Hello everyone,

A non Olds question. I need to re-chrome two Harley Davidson aluminum wheels. Cal Chrome has a 6-8 week turn around, Speed sportchrome in Texas doesn't do wheels. Any suggestions from actual users for a decent chrome shop?
Thanks!

Buyer beware if you consider using Northstar Plating in Brainerd, MN. They might be able to give you a good price, but they did a mediocre job re-chroming the bumpers on my 71 98. I'm actually considering having them wrapped eventually since they're structurally sound.

Hi Rick,
I'm in NYC. I was told we can not do chrome plating here, most of it is done in CA. I contacted Cal Chrome. They had a 8-12 week turn around. I posted my request for recommendations here and on an Harley Davidson forum. I was refereed to ***** Shinny, also located in CA. I spoke with them and feel comfortable with them. Turn around time - four weeks. I shipped the two rims yesterday with UPS. Total weight = 55 lbs. Cheapest shipping rate - $190. I guess everyone has to make.
Any way thanks for responding. I will post the results when I get the wheels back.
Richard

Thanks for the heads up! It's nice we can share experiences here.
Best,
Richard
