Hi, i have a holley 4-barrel carb and the choke valve is jammed wide open and the car cant start. anyone have any ideas what could cause this and how to fix it?

 

If your choke is stuck open and you can't move it with your finger then chances are there is some binding in the choke linkage. If I were you I would just loosen the choke from the side of the carb, shoot the linkage with some carb cleaner and then set the choke. If that doesn't fix it then you might have to take the carb off and check it on the bench to identify exactly what is binding. It shouldn't be that hard. Good luck.
