Broken A/C hose Repairable?

Car is a 1969 Cutlass. Is it possible to recrimp a connector on this hose? It broke at the expansion valve. If it is possible, what type of crimp is this?

Replace the entire hose, filter drier and evacuate the system. Maybe a good time for barrier hoses and a swap it over to 134

I used to work at a shop that made hoses. A new hose could be crimped onto the metal line but a broken metal line means you need a new hose assembly.

I have had new ends welded onto A/C hoses that were unavailable. If that is an original 69 hose, you are better off purchasing a new hose assembly or having one made.

It's a bit far, but you might try calling this place, they 're reasonably priced and do a very nice job. Perhaps you can ship your part to them for repairs. (623) 776-7710
