Kenwood KRC-2001 2 shaft radio for sale
I have an old 2 shaft car stereo for sale. $20 + shipping. It works, but:
1 - The back light for the display doesn't work. The frequency/clock are visible, but do not light up.
2 - The distance between each shaft is 5 3/4 inches. This is half an inch TOO CLOSE to fit my 67 Cutlass Supreme. Unfortunately they are not adjustable.
I picked this up at a swap meet a few years ago, got my car back together enough to want to work on the radio, and then made the discovery about the shaft distance.

I thought i replied to this before but Im thinking those shafts are adjustable in width if you take off the ***** and small nuts those plates will fit in to mutiple holes to adjust width. Just be careful moving them apart as some units used a string like set-up. do one side ata time move evenly and carefully.

IF you look at first picture
Above the **** shaft there is a gap
Very top of the chassis , it looks like a "plate" that allows for some adjustment.
Maybe loosen Big NUT at the base of volume **** shaft and slide apart / widen ?? there seems to be a wider gap there at the top
I did not see any incremental stuff like my super tuner had
You could possibly , also , modify the KENWOOD slightly and make fit real good Notch the case or the width shims , what ever you call them..

VR1967 - I am posting a picture of the back with the wires in response to your question about RCA plugs. No RCA plugs but perhaps the 5 pin DIN plug may be helpful. It is still available.
