Possible LS swap on 1952 Deluxe 88

Hi guys,
I am having a really hard time finding parts for my olds having issues with fuel and spark. looking at options and it is really hard to find parts for that specific year. I have a ls1 that I was going to swap into a chevy truck but am leaning on slapping it into the Olds.
is there anyone that makes the mounts for the rocket 303 to LS or should I go Universal adjust till it fits I also have questions for the rear end and trans placement.

TIA for the help.
-John

There is nothing manufactured for this swap. If you are going to that extreme you should probably consider putting a clip under the front end.

John, it kind of depends on what you want to do with the car. My 54 has a 324 which is just a 303 with a larger bore. Fusick Automotive has parts for your car. The 303 is a good simple engine. I would run a compression check to determine what shape it is in. Does it run now and how is the transmission. There are several of us on here that have been fooling with the old cars for some time. We are glad to offer suggestions and help. It looks like a nice solid car. What part of the country are you located in?

Your going to have to fabricate mounts among other things for an LS swap.

John, I moved your post to the appropriate thread. Be aware that if you scroll too far you'll change to a "Related Thread."

BTW, that's a beautiful Olds. If it runs and drives then just go crusin'.

Yeah, that makes sense - swapping in a LS1 motor since you can’t find out basic fuel and spark problems

There is no reason to be a smart azz with a new member.

Join http://ls1tech.com, a lot of info there. Plenty of swaps that you can read through.
Most likely you need to go with universal mounts.

That car would be bad a$$ with an LS1 under the hood. You would spend a fortune to get that 303 to run half as good as an LS1....... that you already have.

If mine I would first find out what the problem is. You say spark and fuel, what issues with parts are you having? Most anything here in the states will ship to Hawaii it's a matter finding out what you need, that is unless you just want a hot rod. I know it seems a little intimidating at first with no history of finding stuff for a older classic car but with a little help most anything can be found for a 303, not that rare really...... Tedd
