buick 455 in a delta 88

i was wondering if i could fit a 71 buick 455 in a 70 olds delta 88. and how hard would it be. im only doing it cuz i can get the buick motor and trans for free and it runs good. and i want to get the car on the road and drive it til i can save up enough money to biuld my olds motor.

Sure, it'll fit. You'll need frame pads (maybe: Olds didn't use frame pads on 65-70 big cars - not sure about Buick) and motor mounts from a 67-70 full size Buick. It'll require mods to the engine wire harness (Buick distributor is in front, starter on passenger side) and the exhaust system. Might need to change driveshaft length - that depends on whether the trans tail length and rearend pinion length are the same between both cars.
