Are they scarce?

Are they scarce?
I am an owner of a 1965 98 series four door holiday sports sedan. I would like to know if there are many of these around as people seem to collect convertibles or two doors.
Thanks,

As far as original production, your car was the second-most produced Olds 98 in 1965. Tops in production was the Luxury Sedan at 33,591 followed by the Holiday Sports Sedan at 28,480. Next was the Town Sedan at 13,266, then the Holiday Sports Coupe at 12,166, and finally the convertible at 4,903.
That's a grand total of 92,406 Olds 98s built in 1965 with your version representing 30% of that. So, at the time, these were certainly not rare among '65 98s on the road as almost 1 in 3 would have been just like yours.
Today, as noted, it's a different story as people tended to keep the coupes and convertibles over the years as being more collectible. Going with very average statistics, one can assume perhaps 1% of a car's original production is still on the road after 25 years with the number generally leveling out after that. So you might assume there's somewhere around 280 plus or minus, what, 100? of these still on the road somewhere.
Let's see some photos of this car!

4 door 98
I think part of the reason you don't see many is because they make great parts cars, they do present an affordable entry to the classic car hobby and if you are not hung up on the number of doors you have they are very enjoyable.

When I show my '66 98 Holiday Sedan (4 door hardtop) I get a lot of attention just because the people say they rarely ever see them. I have set it up "limo style" with reading light mounted on the rear shelf. Viewers get a real kick out of it.

I have a 1967 Olds 98 LS... Incredibly nice car and hard to believe its almost 48 years old... I'm still foggy on why 2-door is preferred when 4-doors are so much more convenient especially in such a large opulent car.

Back in the day, yes, 4-doors were convenient if you had a large family and wanted easy access to the back seat, and that's why 4-door cars generally outsold their two-door counterparts. But now, decades later, people don't buy and collect these cars because they want convenient family transportation.

On that same thought, I believe that many people look for an older car to remind them of their youth and they want that memory to be reinforced. Reinforcing that memory with something that was perceived to be "romantic" and not "family" means a 2Dr. Dad had a 4DR or a wagon, the cool guy in town or school had the coupe or the fastback or the convertible so there you go. Why do we see so many older guys in corvette convertibles? because they now have the bucks and are re-living their youth.

I still a 2 boys at home 13 and 14 and it's a great to see their amazment that this 48 year old car is so well thought out, luxurious, big *** engine, and made of real metal. They can't believe "they had air conditioning, electric seats and windows back in the old days". It how they should build and style cars today. This thin, cookie cutter, no style automotive world today lack these things. I hope to leave them this or another masterpiece when I'm done.

Well I am part of the 4 door crowd now. Really a cool car, lot's of fun to drive. Has it's issues I am working on mostly in part to some rust but it's hardly a bad thing. Need a replacement back bumper...there ARE some things hard to find!
The car's look and style got me. I needed another car like a hole in the head but this thing is just SO cool...I love the two doors like the next guy, but for some reason I am just into the 4 door tanks! Daughter likes it too!
