I have N.O.S. U.S.A. made Ball Joints & Control Arm Bushings for both series of cars you mention.... They are NOT the same....
Ball Joints for 1961 - 1962 are VERY different from 1963 - 1964 , and I DO have some
1961 - 1962 NEW LOWER Ball Joints, which are ONLY in the rebuilt world, other than me.
(I do not have many...)
The 1964 Olds Full Size Upper Control Arm Bushings are VERY different than 1961 - 1963.

So, first, what do you have??? And, second, what do you want ???

Always best to simply call me --- Craig --- 516 - 485 - 1935.... New York....

Since you are on Classic Oldsmobile practically every day, and have ignored this thread,
Should I -- assume -- your question is a generic question with no real basis !??!
Or does your question have any particular value for yourself -- or only for others ???

Sounds like I upset you? If I knew everything like you think you do I would not be writing here. So I will leave it at that...Done.

I think Craig's point is that people ask about where to get parts, he responds with he has them, and then all he gets is crickets.

Now THERE --- I S --- one Intelligent individual... Our illustrious leader Joe Padavano understands the point of my queries...
I personally don't get "upset" ... I was asking , with right, since there was no response in weeks, what was the PURPOSE for your question, when you are all over this site -- and , yes sirree, CRICKETs is the right word !!
And, this has value to all the intelligent people on this site -- and there are MANY -- in the 1961 - 1964 OLDSMOBILE Full Size world...
You, "therobski" are welcome to join them. I obviously have incredible parts and have spent a lot of time and money to acquire the Quality parts.... This hasn't happened by luck... I have
been doing this for 49 years....
Yours, Craig....
P.S. And, I know the part numbers for all those parts in both TRW and MOOG right out of my head.... And 14 billion more part numbers in various brands in my head... Yes "therobski" God has blessed me with some unbelievable recall power and I am Ivy League educated...
Intelligent people do call on me regularly and repeatedly, so they don't have to play with idiots.

Did you ever consider thebroski might be looking for info to make his decision on whether to buy a car or not? Looks like a lot of time wasted on unnecessary responses. I agree that a simple "thank you" would have been a good response.

Let's get together soon. There is usually a bunch of cars on Thursday evening I believe between 6-8 pm in the Tom Thumb parking lot. Going to get the F-85 out as well.

The lower ball joints , the ones that wear the most , are readily available at Rock Auto . OEM # 5693464
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ll+joint,10070
Moog K5073 would be my favorite . These joints fit all 63 thru 70 full size cars .
The upper joints are a little harder to find , and they only fit 63 and 64 . OEM # 380297 .
There are some on E-Bay right now ;
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...963+oldsmobile

Be careful on E-Bay though , a lot of sellers will list parts as fitting more years then they actually do .

I'm on board Charlie!! first thing is I'm going to check with a few upholstery shops and see if they can repair the front leather split on the seat cushions. I don't want to make them worse by setting in them if I can avoid it.

Well don't know how far I'll go with it in terms of restoration at this point. Because I did promise my wife a convertible but I fell in love with this Starfire. She is excited to drive the car once we get it home. And it is an A/C car that was one of the 2 pieces of the puzzle, the other being a convertible. A little bubbling in the rear qtr's on the bottom behind the wheel. Frame is dang near perfect, very little surface rust. Front suspension, engine, trans all good.Going to see if the upholstery shop where I will get the interior work complete on the F-85, see if they can repair the splits in the front seat original leather. I have plenty of leather treatment stuff around here to work on the rest of the interior seating to soften up the leather. Any repairs need will be done. Once I get the interior done on the F-85 I'm going to see what kind of nibbles I get may sell it. Or with the Holidays closing in on us may wait until next spring. Plus if that ultimate convertible comes up for sale I would sell the F-85 to start paying myself back-and there is no more room around here!

Henry can probably take care of your seats. Is the F85 still over there?

I didn't drop it off, I needed to finish installing the Eastwood Dyno mat and one thing lead to another and lost my time slot. Pretty sure when we get back from vacation on the 20th, that will be the week. I'm going to call him Monday to reset-there closed on Fridays. The leather, the carpet with the sewn in floor mats and the rest of the interior trim-to me anyway, is very special on Starfires.. Looking forward to the "Darkside" Oldsmobiles. I need to renew my member ship with NTOC is Lois still the contact?

Your renewal actually comes to me since I am the Treasurer. It is a PO Box in Rowlett. Has your membership lapsed?
