1963 Olds 98 disk brake kits?

Are there any disc brake kits available for the 1963 Olds 98? I also need a new brake booster and master cylinder for it. Do the parts interchange with any Cadillacs?

Unless Scarebird www.scarebird.com or Mike Pemberton www.discbrakemike.com have come up with something, doubt it. Scarebird shows they have a kit for 61-69 big Olds but not cheap esp compared to other carlines they make them for.

The reason the Scarebird full size Olds kits are more expensive than others is that they include new hub assemblies. The SSBC kits use the original hub, pressed out of the drum and the OD turned down to fit inside the new rotor. Not even sure if SSBC still sells the F/S Olds kit anymore, but they could probably make one up if asked.

The only thing I could find online was rear brake kits but if this works for the front then I am happy with leaving drums on the rear of the car for now. I am having trouble finding a brake booster for it as well.

Try this place for the booster: http://www.powerbrakex-change.com/index.html
They can rebuild your old one.

Its been a while since I looked into it, but I believe Kanter sold a kit that included a new master, calipers and the rotors and brackets. Pricey tho. I am thinking it was a little over 1k. Let me know what you find. I should get around to doing that once I figure out how to get rid of my friend slimjim.

I ended up getting the front kits from Scarebird and then picked up the rest of the parts locally. Right now it is at my friends shop where his mechanic is doing the work for me. I would rather have a licensed mechanic do the work then trying to do it myself. All told it is about $1500 for parts and labour to redo the entire brake system including the master and the brake booster. They are out of a newer model but mount up the same, just needed a proportioning valve for the rears.

Next step is for the interior. At least it is driveable at this point.

Does the kit you bought permit use of the factory wheels?

I do not know if the stock wheels would still fit, my car came with aftermaket rims that still fit and they are 15" rims if that helps.

Brakes are finally done and I am happy with the results. Some of the parts did not fit properly but was able to find replacements locally from a performance shop. While we were test driving it the fuel pump let go and saw a couple of other problems and made a decision in regards to the motor. I am looking for a 455 for it and would like to know if it will bolt up to the original transmission or will I have to change that too? The engine still runs great, just need a re-ring kit. I am going to sell the original 394 so if anyone would like it, make me an offer and pay for the shipping. I can send a video of it running by email, just send me a pm with your email and I will send the video.
