70 disk brake vs 71/72 disk brakes

I have a couple of questions regarding the 70 disk brake set up vs the newer 71/72 set up. My 70 has no disk brake hold off and only a distribution block. Spindles appear to have a 71 date on them, but I think my car was a late run. Huge shimmy from the passenger side, prior to tear down. No fluid dripped out of the driver's side lines when I disconnected the rubber hose from the line. My questions are:

Did all of the 70 disk brake set up come with a distribution block and a disk brake hold off valve at the master center?

If I am not worried about being 100% year correct, is the 71/72 proportioning valve a better set up?

It looks like I am going to be buying a new booster, master cylinder, and lines anyways. Just wanted to know if it is worth going with the proportioning valve set up?

Thanks

The last 1970 Oldsmobile was built in Aug 1970. There's no way to have a part with a 1971 date that was installed from the factory. The holdoff valve and dist block is functionally equivalent to the later combo valve. Your choice if you want to replumb to mate the newer valve .

Thanks Joe, hmmm..... Aug 70, then 71's were made...I need to think before I type. Then, all 70's had the hold off valve if they had disks, right? If so, I am replumbing the front anyway, it is just which is cost less.
