1957-98-Starfire engine serial number

Can anyone tell me where to look for the engine serial number on my 371?
I was told it has the original motor but have yet been able to find it.

The engine serial number is stamped on a machined pad on the top of the left cylinder bank between the center and rear exhaust manifold ports. The number begins with A001001 and up

Thanks Citcapp, I had looked in there before but couldn't see it...old eyes you know. Didn't help that it was covered in sludge.
Turns out it is the original motor which makes me happy.
