hi all

new to the site, just bought a 53 olds super 88 and would love help from you guys. first can i change the carb to a nice edelbrock and what type or part number can i use. second the car is timed perfect and has new fuel pump, gas tank, rebuild carb, plugs, distributor and many other parts. my second question is that the car feels slugish , it runs ok but it just seems like is lacking power like the car is pushing but not freely.

any help would be apreciated

Welcome to the site, we do like pictures. Yes an Edelbrock carb will work on your car, however there may be some linkage adjustment issues you'll need to overcome. You say your current carb has been rebuilt, why change it? Sluggishness can be a related to a few things, tune up and/or trans linkage settings. I'll let the guys from the 50's group chime in.
