68 Cutlass will not start

I turn the key and nothing happens. The battery is fine, lights work, radio works etc. etc. Checked the connections to the starter..all looks in order. What do I do?

Welcome to the site, there is a purple wire to your starter solenoid, see if there is voltage there when the key is turned to start. If there is then you probably have a bad solenoid, if not look at your neutral safety switch connections or adjustment.

That's my thought also on the neutral switch. may need an adjustment.

Try pushing the gear selector up past the PARK position while turning the ignition key to START.

He can also try moving the shifter around in the Neutral position.
