Talking Pictures of Tadpole's '70 442 posted today

This newbie finally figured out how to post an album. It is listed in the Albums section as Tadpole's '70 442. Here is a description of my baby.

Description of my new old Olds

1970 Olds Cutlass Holiday Coupe 442 with 95K+ miles

The car appears to be original numbers-matching but I’m still researching all the codes

Reef turquoise with white hood and wrong (W30) side stripes. Oddly, the VIN paint code is A.

Original pearl upholstery that badly needs cleaning but is free of damage

Original SS3 wheels with new BFG Radial T/As. I hope the trim rings are original!

455 ci – 360 hp – 500 lb ft. Supposedly has a 3:23 posi but I have to verify that.

Turbo 400 with Hurst dual-gate shifter

Hood scoops feeding original OAI

Factory cruise control by Rube Goldberg

Factory rear defroster

Factory A/C that works!

Rally Pack gauges (I hate the small numbers in the tic-toc tach)

AM Radio with front & rear speakers (am/fm stereo conversion is ordered from Tayman)

PS/PFDB

Sport wheel with tilt

Original vanity mirror with Olds emblem

Map light on the rear view mirror

Remote trunk release in glove box

Sport mirrors

Under-hood and trunk lights. I have repaired or replaced all the accessory lights so all the lights now work

T3 lamps (will be replaced with halogen or led because I’m old and need all the vision help I can get at night)

I love this site! Good health to all........Tadpole

May I suggest new pictures on concrete? Grass tends to suck the color out of any car. Look at magazines and you'll see it's extremely rare for features to appear on grass. The color of your car will pop out much better.
