New here, and to my 65' Jetstar!

Greetings from SW Ohio. I had just recently purchased a 1965 Jetstar1, and have joined in the hopes of learning a little more about these cars. Mine is very solid and complete, but I can already see that I may have difficulty finding some knick-knack items like courtesy light lens, etc. I have zero parts sources for something like this, lol! My first order of business is to try to get some carpet back in it, and find some steel wheels with poverty caps, to replace the hideous aftermarket wheels on it. I look forward to seeing some other Jetstar1 projects, and finished cars. Take care and thanks for reading.

Welcome to the site Jim, post some pictures of your car when you get a chance. What I would do is make a list of the items you need and post it in the parts wanted forum.

Jetstar 1, with 425 and buckets/ console?

Not the Jetstar 88, right?

Yep, it's a 65' Jetstar1, I hit the "caps" button in the title, lol! It has the original 425/auto trans. It's complete with the console, tack, buckets, etc. The car also has factory air, which I was somewhat surprised with my thought that these were to be cheaper versions of higher end cars. It also has power steering and brakes. I'll put a pic or two of it up, as soon as I can get rid of the awful 1980's aftermarket wheels, lol!

A subtle trick
Jetstar 88 is the big car with A-body engine and brakes
Jetstar 1 is the sporty all big-car big car.

Dirty marketing trick?

big car with A-body engine, brakes, trans, and differential

More like confusion than tricks, I think.
